SASIT have experience in the areas of data warehousing, OLAP databases, ETL (Extract, transform and load), dashboards and BI reporting in general.
The ability to capture important transactional data is a main objective of most computer systems. As a result of this objective most computer systems tend to have vast amounts of data locked away with no easy way to access or manipulate it. The ability to extract this data, mine it and analyse it to identify trends is necessary for the future success of the business but this is not always easy to achieve.
SASIT have a team of specialists experienced in creating data warehouses to address this very problem. By working with the customer and analysing the data in the system we are able to establish exactly what information the business really needs, and the best way of getting it. Once this analysis is completed, we have a team available to implement the solution. Data warehouses are typically located outside of the main production database and contain summaries of the transactional data. Locating the data warehouse away from the main production database enables users to run multiple queries over the database (which is generally what is required when analysing data) without ever affecting the production environment.
