SASIT are NZ leaders in the outsourcing market and have been in the business since 1974. Over this time a wealth of in-house expertise has been built up across multiple platforms. The IBM iSeries (or its predessors) was the initiatial platform used, however this has changed over the years to include LINUX on Intel and iSeries, and UNIX in SUN, IBM, and HP flavours.

A wide range of solutions is available and is geared to individual customers requirements. Some of our customers have completely outsourced their IT infrastructure including hardware, software, network, plus applications development and helpdesk. For other customers we provide a mixture of outsourcing services such as:
- facilities management of hardware - where SASIT look after the well being, including monitoring and upgrades, of our customer's computer(s). In many of these cases SASIT utilities are installed on the systems to improve daily administration procedures
- hosting and development of applications - where we host applications on SASIT machines on behalf of the customer and develop and maintain the application systems
- hosting of applications - where we host he customers applications on SASIT owned equipment. The applications development may be "owned" by a third party (e.g. this is typical of some ERP type software solutions)
- applications development on facilities managed machines - where the customer owns the machine but SASIT manages it and also provides application development services
- provision of technical expertise - where the customer may own the network and hardware infrastructure but does not have the in-house expertise to manage the systems or provide staff for one off projects. SASIT have experts in these areas and can easily provide comprehensive consulting services. In many instances SASIT utilities have been provided to the customer to improve daily admin procedures
- provision of security services including firewalls, mail and web security. We also provide web development and hosting, specialising in the integration of front end web applications with back office systems
