As a provider of Infrastructure as a Service SASIT has the ability to buy larger, more enterprise level systems and securely multi-tenant the infrastructure thereby delivering higher performance for less cost to the customer than could be purchased for themselves alone. In addition, at SASIT we have the skills associated with the management and support of this infrastructure and spread these costs across multiple customer environments – hence the added benefit of reducing the support costs.

SASIT has been involved in the supply of Software as a Service (SaaS), and IaaS for decades. Of course it wasn’t always called “The Cloud”, but the essential components are largely the same; that being the provision of both applications and infrastructure as a utility model.

SASIT has built a model using best of breed technology to ensure resilience, cost, and functionality can all be delivered in a model where the customer outcome is not compromised and a price point that is significantly lower than can be delivered independently by the customer.

Substantial investments have been made within the SASIT Data Centre, as well as in two other New Zealand Data Centres and now also in Australia.
